Overview
OptionsEdge ("the App") is an options strategy analysis tool for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it. The short version: the App does not collect any personal information from you, and all analysis is performed locally on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
- Financial account information or brokerage credentials
- Search history or ticker symbols you analyze
How the App Works
When you enter a ticker symbol and run an analysis, the App fetches publicly available market data (stock prices, options chains, historical prices, and earnings/dividend dates) from third-party financial data APIs. This data is used solely for the purpose of performing the options strategy analysis you requested.
All computation — including pricing model calculations, strategy scoring, Greeks computation, and technical indicator analysis — is performed entirely on your device. No analysis results, strategy preferences, or portfolio information are transmitted to any server.
Third-Party Data Services
The App connects to third-party financial data providers to retrieve publicly available market data. These requests include only the ticker symbol you search for and standard HTTP headers. No personal information is included in these requests. The App does not control the privacy practices of these third-party services, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
No User Accounts
The App does not require or offer user account creation, login, or authentication of any kind. There are no accounts, passwords, or profiles associated with your use of the App.
No Advertising or Tracking
The App contains no advertisements, no advertising SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no analytics frameworks. We do not use any third-party services for the purpose of tracking, profiling, or targeting users.
Data Storage
Any settings or preferences you configure within the App (such as your preferred pricing model, risk tolerance, or expiration type) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the App.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since the App does not collect contact information, we are unable to notify you directly of changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
